pTools - All go for GTEC
Sep 8, 2011There's a lot happening for us in Canada. We've just signed up Andy Manko to work with the team in Toronto alongside Dee Allott. Andy is ex IBM and comes with deep experience of the enterprise software sector. Also we're exhibiting at GTEC, Canada's Government Technology Event October 17-20, 2011 Ottawa Convention Centre, Ottawa. It's our first time at this show and our first outing at a Canadian technology exhibition. As usual we'll be showing alongside some big fish including Opentext and Autonomy. We're on an Irish companies stand that Enterprise Ireland has set up so hopefully there will be some strength in numbers. Although participating in a group stand diminishes your ability to stand alone as it were, I am a real fan. There's a good argument for Enterprise Ireland to have a group stand at all the major technology shows - in fairness they do many - and to make it an anchor of the overseas trade effort. For the company there is of course a sharing of the cost but far more valuable is the ease with which a company can just get out and show. We'll be announcing more about GTEC in the coming weeks and Andy will be there on the day if you'd like to meet him.

Tom Skinner is Managing Director / CEO of pTools Software. Before joining pTools he worked with LG Electronics and the Irish Board of Trade in product development. Tom's work with pTools ranges from business management to sales as well as working closely with the new product development team. He helped design, develop and deploy the very first pTools CMS solutions in 1997 and has worked on every phase of company and product development since. Married with two children he lives in Dublin.
