pTools launches latest CMS product at Microsoft World-Wide Partner Conference

pTools has announced the latest release of its software for Microsoft .net 3.0, which is a first for a European CMS developer attending Microsoft's World-Wide Partner Conference. This new release, pTools 5.3, is the latest update of pTools S5 (System Five) and will be launched at Microsoft's World-Wide Partner Conference July 10th 2007 in Denver, Colorado. pTools will be part of the Enterprise Ireland Pavilion at the event and is one of the Microsoft Ireland group of companies attending the conference.

pTools 5.3 extends core functionality of pTools eForms and Workflow and brings integration of forms processes to CMS in a single user interface. pTools S5 has recently been deployed in large scale deals for customers including Allianz, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the Irish Stock Exchange.

Commenting on the pTools Intranet deployment for The Irish Stock Exchange, Mark Scully Head of Information Technology at the Exchange says: "pTools' latest CMS provides us with an easily managed Exchange focused information tool that can be readily deployed and utilized throughout the company. The technology fits our IT strategy and pTools allows users to manage content for their area of business and in the interaction with other departments, utilizing Exchange data as a business resource. The software is easy to use, the system is straightforward to backup and restore, and there is a small footprint to cater for."

Tom Skinner, Managing Director of pTools says: "Presenting a product at Microsoft's World-Wide Partner Conference is a significant milestone. We are the only Irish ISV releasing a software product at the event and one of the first CMS firms in the world to have a .net 3.0 compatible product available. This release puts us in a strong position to work with Enterprise Ireland to extend into international markets and to win customers who want powerful content management software that is proven in enterprise environments."

pTools deploys to Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases and enables content management professionals to use the pTools programming interface and development tools to deliver solutions for Intranets, Extranets and Internet applications. Key features include: advanced workflow and content compliance; rapid deployment and in-built Web2.0 features; Sharepoint and Vista integration; 'clean code' accessibility standard; pTools 'content element model' (CEM); content security marking; and multi- language syndication.

pTools delivers exceptionally high level feature functionality for a mid-market content management software that works across the spectrum from quick win web developments to enterprise Intranet deployments in some of the most demanding customer environments.
